Cesarean Scar Release Therapy
What is it and how does it work?
C-Section Scar Release Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive scar tissue treatment designed to improve C-section scar mobility, sensitivity, and tissue function. While a C-section scar represents strength, it can sometimes lead to tightness, discomfort, adhesions, and restricted movement in the abdomen, fascia, and surrounding tissues.
This treatment uses Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS), a Health Canada and FDA-approved therapy that applies low-level electrical currents to specific points along the scar. MPS helps stimulate cellular activity, improve circulation, and support the release of scar tissue adhesions and fascial restrictions.
Benefits of C-Section Scar Release Therapy may include:
Soften thickened scar tissue
Improved scar mobility and abdominal movement
Reduced scar tightness, pulling, and sensitivity
Breakdown of scar tissue adhesions
Improved fascia and connective tissue function
Enhanced scar appearance and texture
C-Section scar release therapy is effective for both new scars (8+ weeks post-surgery) and older surgical scars. Many clients notice improvements within a few sessions, including improved comfort, reduced restriction, and better connection to the scar, core, and abdominal wall function.
